Actually, what she told me was this long 5-year-old-telling-a-story kind of story, but in the end I found out that she has a boyfriend. But I’m not suppose to tell anyone his name.

I’d been waiting for this moment! Like a cat I pounced on a movie I’ve been dying to watch with you … “The Princess Bride”.

It was so awesome watching it. You were so intense in making sure that you knew what was going on that instead of talking through the entire movie, you only talked through about 25% of the movie. You lied it so much, you decided to watch it again today.

I asked you what your favorite part was. And your response? “All of it … except for the part where Leslie (sic) was attached the the electrocuting thing and the guy set it to 50! I did not like that part!”

How I love watching Kick Butt movies with my little girl!

The doctor was concerned enough that she sent us to the lab. You asked what they were going to do at the lab and I told you they were going to look at your blood. You were a smart cookie and asked how they were going to look at your blood. I told you and you freaked out a little bit.

We got to the lab and waited for our turn. There was a man sitting in a chair across from you. He saw how scared you were and announced to the room that needle stick didn’t hurt at all, hoping it would help you be brave. It did help a little bit and I forgot to say thank you to him but I really think he helped you out.

When it came time for the needle stick you were such a trooper. Only a little ‘OW!!!’ when you were stuck with the needle, but a brave little soldier nonetheless.

The rest of the consisted of resting and watching movies, and resting some more. We even watched a little bit of Cup Cake Wars.

You’re starting to look and feel better, but you’ll be out another day. :(

First day of school is looking to be Thursday, September 1.

I nearly spit out my water, and said, “Yeah mommy, how do babies get in your belly?”

A long, pregnant pause followed by Abby saying, “I have to go poop!”

And thus we have successfully averted our first discussion about where babies come from. I wonder if we can keep this up for the next 15 years …
