You tried to get me and mommy to tuck you in several times (this is one of your stalling tactics) but we weren’t falling for it. The last time you tried to stall a bit mommy explained that you had been tucked in by both of us and that we wouldn’t tuck you in again.
You stopped at that thought and looked at mommy and while holding your little index finger up you said, “One more fing?” Mommy said you could give me a kiss.
With that you ran (pit pat pit pat pit pat) to the kitchen where I was getting some water. You ran into the kitchen right in front of me, stopped and smiled and then puckered as big as your little face could muster and I bent down and gave you a kiss. And with that you were off your bedroom just as fast as you came in.
Because daddy loves me?!
This is the answer to the question, why did daddy give you milk in a sippy cup instead of a big girl cup.
Let’s back up a bit. I’ve been trying to get you to drink milk and water from a cup (aka a big girl cup). But, you really like drinking from the sippy cup, especially milk. Tonight, when you were ready for milk you said you wanted it in a sippy cup and I said it was going to be in a big girl cup. You made some of those noises (i.e. whining) so I made a deal with you. If you picked up your toys in the living room I’d give you milk in a sippy cup.
The living room has never been picked up so quickly!
So, when mommy asked you why you were drinking milk from a sippy cup tonight you said, “Becauase, because, because daddy loves me!”
Almost made me cry … mommy too
