A visit …

To auntie Carol’s house. And what fun it was. Mommy went to a play with auntie Carol and Lauren and Grandma Janie, but all three of us went up to visit. You had sooo much fun. When you heard that they were going to a play you wanted to go to, and get on the swings and the sLide.

You didn’t get to go, but you had an awesome time nonetheless. The best part was when, at about 2:30 in the morning, you climbed out of your port-o-crib opened the door to the room we were all sleeping and and ran down the hall to the living room and yelled, “There I am!”. At which point I jumped out of bed, ran down the living room and got you as fast as I could! It was so funny because it was so unexpected for us.

Your favorite part about visiting auntie Carol’s house was the drive way. You made mommy walk up and down, up and down, up and down this morning. Later, while you were helping me carry stuff out to the car, you decided that you could walk down all by yourself. Only, you really couldn’t and today was the day you found out about one of nature’s little forces: momentum. You also discovered that when momentum is combined with an incline and gravity that you can’t stop until you fall down.

We had so much fun playing with everyone, and even the dog liked you a little bit. And that was huge, because the dog doesn’t normally like kids. An awesome time for both of us.

HUH? What was that?

Tonight while watching Jeopardy! a local commercial came on. One for a local company that helps people with hearing loss. And you know what? You knew the words to the commercial! You whispered them when you didn’t ‘know’ the word and were a little louder when you did. But holy crap, was it scary. I think maybe you watch too much TV. Or at least too much Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy!

The Yetter L

Today marked the first day that I heard you say the letter L like an L instead of a Y. Normall you say things like ‘yetter’ for ‘letter’, ‘witt-ew’ for ‘little’ and ‘siead’ for ‘slide’. Today you said sLide. You worked really hard on the L, but it was there and it was PRO NOUNCED!

Little things that will be forgotten are not forgotten here.
