Sleeping Abby

Last night you spent an awful long time talking to yourself, and said, “Stuck” more than once. You stopped after a minute or two of that, but I was still worried about you so I went to check on you. I was awed by what I saw. There you were, laying in your bed, on your back (a first) and taking up nearly the entire crib mattress!

OK, let me restate that last sentence so it sinks in fully. A crib mattress is 52 inches long and it seemed like you were taking up like 90% of it. I’m sure that can’t possibly be true, but it was just so weird. I remember when you were a little teeny tiny baby and I’d put you in the crib and it seemed to dwarf you and I thought to myself, “You’re just so small” and now to look at you it’s hard to believe that you every weighed a measly 5 pounds.

I’m constantly amazed at how much you’re growing and I need to stop and remind myself with these notes so I don’t ever forget how awesome of a time this is for both of us. So, please don’t mind me, I’m just smelling the roses.

Abby Says Dodgers

Tada!

OK. So it’s been a while since my last post. I didn’t realize how long it had been until I saw the date … May 7. Holy crap, that’s like days and days!

Anyway, I’m back and I’m going to try to get back into a regular schedule. We had a lot of fun yesterday on Mother’s day. We had grandma Janie and grandma Paula and grandpa Dwight over for brunch and then we went over to aunt Mary’s house and hung out.

Also, tonight you were helping mommy with a birthday present for Mia and you said, Taaaaa!, which translates to:

Kicking it with the Dodgers

Lately when the Dodgers are on and we switch between them and the Night Time Game Shows, you’ve been inclined to request the Dodgers instead of Wheel of Fortune or Jeopardy!

It sure makes me proud!

Making Art

Making Art

We made art outside today on a canvas that I bought you. You really seemed to dig drawing on the canvas. We may have a budding artist on our hands!
