Sleeping Mommy and Abby

Sleeping Mommy and Abby

The picture above was taken when you were only 3 months old. You used to HAVE to sleep in our bed with us and this is back in those days. Thankfully we finally got you to think that your crib was an OK place, but for a while there I was really worried that you would never get used to it.

We didn’t get to hang out too much today, although you were really excited to see me come home. That always warms my heart.

Drinking Juice!

Drinking Juice!

When I got home from work today you were waiting at the screen door for me. You were so excited to see me you yelled, “Daddy!” That was uber-cool!

Mommy says you were a bit of a handful today, especially at JoAnn’s (the fabric store). You didn’t listen at all, just kind of ran around. Shame on you. I got to see some of it first hand when you were not cooperating at nigh-nigh time with Mommy. You even got put on a time-out … right before bed!

Saving for the future

Saving for the future

Today Mommy took the boys (Tanner and Tommy) to the airport so you got to stay at Mia’s house almost all day. And what a day you had. When I came to pick you up you weren’t the least bit interested in leaving with me. You wanted to stay and have fun. So I took all of your gear out to the car, buckled your car seat in and came back and got you.

When you saw me come in the house you ran as fast as you could down the hall way, turned around and then dropped to the floor, covering your eyes and ‘hiding’ from me. It didn’t take long for me to come and pick you up, but you weren’t happy to go … at all.

When I finally got you into the car (Bri-ee’s car) all you could talk about was Mia. It was so funny. Of course all of that stopped about 2 minutes from home when you passed out as hard as I’ve ever seen you pass out.

When we got home I tried to wake you up a couple of times, but you weren’t doing it. I put you in your bed and let you sleep for a little while. Then you woke up and drank some milk and then back asleep. Up again to eat some dinner and watch Fitch and Dobby, then off to nigh-nigh land for the rest of the night.

It was a good day, and I’m glad I got to hang out with you … even if you were a little cranky :)

Abby’s Lone Easter Egg

Abby's Lone Easter Egg

Ahh Easter! The time of year when we hide eggs in the yard and hope that all of the little kiddies find them. We’re starting to get smarter as we’ve been counting them lately so we know if there are any still in the yard the same day and not several weeks later.

You seemed really interested in getting eggsactly one egg. This Elmo egg. You were then done running around outside with Cassaday and Tanner looking for eggs.

After the festivities you were beat, so we came home and you took a nice, long nap. Once you woke up you weren’t the least bit interested in me, but you did say something that sounded an awful lot like, “I love you Mommy.” We weren’t sure if that’s exactly what you said, but that’s what we’ll tell everyone :)

Coloring eggs!

Coloring eggs!

Today was such an awesome day! We went to a Farmers’ Market in Palm Springs and got some awesome produce and Ran into Fifi and Shari and Patrick at Old Navy. And then tonight we went over to Grandma Janie’s house for a little pre-Easter party.

You got to color eggs with the boys and Cassaday and ran around without your shirt after you spilled some water on it.

One of the best parts for me though was watching you play with Fifi at Old Navy. Its rare for you (and Fifi) to be that animated in public, but it was such fun to watch!
