King Ryan’s Mountain

King Ryan's Mountain

When I was a little boy Nanu and Grandpa John took me up to the back of the cove to walk their dogs. We found this small mountain that had steps carved into it. We all decided to name it “King Ryan’s Mountain’ (after me!). When we decided to go out here I wasn’t sure I’d be able to find it (I hadn’t been out here in almost 10 years!). But we were able to find it and Mommy was able to get this picture of the two of us. I’m really glad I got to take you out on your first of many trips.

While we were out here we met up with Finley and her Mummy and Dad and their dog-dog. We walked all around the Oasis Cove Trail head and had such a good time. We tried to go up a hill me with you on my shoulders and Finley being carried by her Mummy in a kickin kid-carrying backpack. Once we got to the top though, it looked like a bit too much for us, so we turned back.

It was a beautiful day to be in the great outdoors with great friends. I know you are looking forward to the next time just as much as me and Mommy.

Today we had the Zimmerman family Christmas at Aunt Carolyn & Uncle Jim’s house. You had such a good time playing with everyone, but especially Uncle Jim. He carried you around and showed you the dog-dogs.

Later in the day you and Uncle Jim played with the Piggy Bank that Brad and Aika gave you. You’d count the coins as you put them in, giggle a little and then open the bank up and start all over again.

We had so much fun today that you decided that your nap only had a to about an hour before you got back up and got back in the game.

Mommy helps Abby ride her kickin' new bike

Aunt Carolyn and Uncle Jim got you a bike for Christmas … but they couldn’t wait to give it to you. So when you and Mommy went over to Aunt Carolyn’s house to help bake cookies, she gave it to you so you could ride it around.

You were so excited about the new bike. You still don’t have the idea of the pedals down just yet, so you puch your self with your feet on the ground. As you do this you say, “Push, push, push.” My goodness it is so awesomely cool and so sweet. I’m really excited to watch you play with it. It’s going to be really cool when you figure out the pedals. Watch out world, here comes Abby!

Abby says … Peas

One of your favorite foods. It sounds just like ‘please’.

Abby stares at the trains

Tonight we went to the Living Desert for Wildlights. The trees were all decorated with pretty lights and there was live music. There were also s’mores to be had and intricate light displays. But your absolute, most favoritist part of the entire evening was the train display. Every time we strayed away you’d say, “more” and we’d end up back at the trains.

You stared at them so intently and got so excited by them going by and making noises. It was so awesome! I really want to get a train set for you (and Mommy and me!) now. Well, Christmas is next week :)
