On the first day of Thanksgiving we went to Aunt Mary’s house. You were pretty tired when we showed up so you went straight for a nap. But once you woke up, you had the best time! After the obligatory 30 minute warm up period.
You took a real liking to Brad and Aika. You really liked the basketballs (as usually) as well as the giant Yoga Ball. At one point you decided that clothing was optional. Having made this decision you stripped down to just your birthday suit and proceeded to roll around on the carpet, while everyone just laughed. It was hilarious. When we finally convinced you that you needd clothes the only thing that would do were your jammies.
On the second night of Thanksgiving we went to Grandma Paula’s house. It was just us, Grandma Paula, Grandpa Dwight and Aunt Gail. Nice and quiet and relaxing. You liked visiting with Quigley and Gail’s dog Dougie was there. You weren’t very interested in the dog that walks around out of his cage though.
What we all got a huge kick out of was when you started jumping on Quigley’s bed. You don’t just so much as move your feet … almost like you’re running in place. It’s really cute though.
And how can we forget about Sarah coming down with Storm to visit Brian. That’s where the ‘jumping’ was first caught on video.

On Saturday we went to Brian and Rachelle’s reception/open house at Aunt Mary’s. Although there were a lot of people at the party, you were an adventurous little rug rat, running around all over the place and playing with you cousins Brett and Justin. It was odd how much you’d come out of your shell for this party. You really showed no fear just walking around and looking and smiling at people. So different than this time a year ago when you weren’t really into people that weren’t mommy or daddy.
Mommy and I even went out after the party and you got to hang out with Aunt Mary. We were gone until about 10:30 and I was surprised (although mommy wasn’t) that you were still awake watching TV and playing with Aunt Mary. And you didn’t really seem tired. Amazing!
Well, it was quite a weekend holiday for us. It was really nice to see you run around and play with your cousins and to just walk around while other people were there.
As always there are pictures of the festivities, but not as many as I would have liked to have had. I just didn’t not want to watch what you were doing to go get the camera. I’ll have to try harder on Christmas.
