Only 42 days left!

It looks like 42 days until you’re going to be born. Just so you know, 42 is the answer to life the universe and everything. So, this is a momentous day for you. I also have an official announcement: “You now have more stuff than me.” Your mom and I went to California over the last weekend for your baby shower. I just went to get out of the cold really, but your mom was there for the shower. I would have stayed, but there were no other guys there, so I went and hung out with Papa. From what I hear there were so many presents they had to take a break in the middle of it. That’s a lot of stuff for someone so small. I hope you like it all. I’m still pulling for you to be here in time for opening day, but it looks like the first game of the year for the Dodgers is a day game on April 7 against the Braves. I can’t believe that it would be so early, something like a 1:05 EST start or something. Ridiculous! Anyway, your mom and I have decided to move back to California. This won’t mean much to you until you’re a little older I think. You’ll have to remind me to tell you the story of the first two years marriage your mom and I went through. It maybe isn’t the most interesting story, but it’s probably worth listening to at least once. And maybe by the time I tell it to you, I’ll be able to laugh more freely about it than I can now. As a little hint, we moved a ton, and you know how much I love to move. Well, enjoy your last 42 days in the womb. I’m really excited about seeing you for the first time (without the aid of the ultrasound machine). Well, even daddies have bedtimes and mine is fast approaching. I love you very much.
